Go Crocs!!!

I have selected to complete my service learning hours at Cherry Creek Elementary in Springville, UT. Cherry Creek is the home of the Crocs!

The school is in the "backyard" of the Art City museum located in the heart of Springville, and within the Nebo School District. The roads along the front and back of the school have residential housing on either side. Cherry Creek is a very welcoming-looking school with the playground and school yard visible at the south end of the building.

The racial majority of the school is Caucasian with Hispanic coming in second. The teacher student ratio is 23.5 students per 1 teacher, which is about average in Utah elementary schools. I am excited to get to go and do my service learning at Cherry Creek because I hope to be a great help to the teachers, as well as learn myself. I understand that the experience is totally my responsibility. Transportation, dress and actions will be my responsibility to act as professional as I need to be when I am a licence teacher myself.

This is going to be an exciting experience and I look forward to documenting it here on this little blog.
